Anibal Rodriguez

Anibal Rodriguez, 73 of Lawrence passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital. Anibal was born and educated in Morovis, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Ramon Rodriguez and his wife Ambrosia Rosado Rodriguez. Anibal worked as mechanic in New York City and he was the operator of a bowling alley in Brooklyn, NY. He retired in 1986 and moved to Lawrence to join family. Anibel was an avid fisherman whose favorite  fishing spots were at the Merrimack River, Gloucester, MA and Salisbury Beach.  "A happy man", he enjoyed pulling pranks on his family and telling jokes. Anibal was the widow of Gladys (Hernandez) Rodriguez who pre-deceased him on November 14, 2015. Anibal is survived by his companion, Clara Sanchez of Lawrence. In addition, he is survived by his children, Anibal Rodriguez, Jr. of Greenfield, MA, Hector Rodriguez of Methuen, Marisol Rodriguez of Hartford and Roberto Rodriguez and his wife, Tina of Greenfield, MA. Grandchildren: Iesha, Kassandra, Daniel, Jose, Edwardo, Jesus, Gladys, Jessica, Nicole, Madelyn, Marilyn, Anibal, Jr., Angel, Antonio, Jesus, Benjamin and Roberto, Jr. Anibal is also survived by siblings, Cecelia Nieves of Lawrence, Maria Rodriguez of Lawrence, William Rodriguez of Lawrence, Carmelo Rodriguez of Caguas, Puerto Rico, Lourdes Hernandez of Haverhill and Carmen Rodriguez of Maine. He was predeceased by his brothers Angel and Ramon Rodriguez.      

Friends may call Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at FARRAH FUNERAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in St. Mary-Immaculate Conception, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to help defray the costs of Anibal's funeral.
