Carlos Ramos, 52, of Lawrence, passed away in his home on Thursday December 20, 2018 surrounded by family. Carlos was born and educated in Patillas, Puerto Rico the son of Gregoria Malave Cruz and the late Antonio Ramos Ramos. While lived in Puerto Rico Carlos was the owner of a hot dog stand. When he moved to Lawrence Carlos worked as a plastics extruder operator before returning o the work he loved most, Hot Dog vending. Carlos owned and operated concessions at The Home Depot and had locations in Lawrence. Carlos lost his battle with cancer and left behind his wife, Olga Ramos and his three daughters: Olga Soloman and her husband, Michael of Methuen, Johanneliss and her husband Carlos Escobar of Methuen, and Tiffany M. Ramos of Lawrence. Carlos is also has five grandchildren, Alyshia, Jeremiah, Isiah, Zachary and Eric. One brother, Jose Ramos of Lawrence and four sisters, Miriam Ramos of Connecticut, Myrna Velazquez of , Minerva Velazquez in Texas and Elizabeth Ramos of Lawrence. Carlos is also survived by his beloved mother, Gregoria Malave Cruz of Puerto Rico. He was a loving father and a devoted husband. He was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico and came to Lawrence, MA in 1985. Since the moment he came to MA he worked night and day to support his family. Our father worked more than 20 years as an extruder operator in Nashua, NH. He was able to pursue his dream of owning his own hot dog cart, which he proudly named, “Caribbean Style Hot Dogs.” He was an outstanding friend to so many people. His generosity really touched people’s heart and he will never be forgotten.
