Doris “Inda” Santiago, 68, of Lawrence, MA, died peacefully in her sleep on January 5, 2020. Born October 12, 1951, she is pre-deased by her parents, Encarnacion and Carmen “Carmela” Santiago and her late siblings, Victor “Puso”, Teodora “Tioda” and Felix all of Coamo, Puerto Rico.
Doris was retired from Raytheon and was the beloved bartender next door at the Portuguese American Club for over 10 years. She was an avid domino player and loved to walk around her beloved Lawrence. Her love for the holiday season was contagious and her laugh was even more so. She was a mom to everyone and always had sound advice for all. She had a quick wit and was know for her one liners.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lesly Melendez of Lawrence and Melissa Melendez of Methuen; grandchildren Raheem, Dakota, Xavier and Calysa and great grandchildren Marcus and Kyrie; her siblings Maria “Rubia” Santiago of Seabrook, NH; Wilfredo “Fredo”, Margarita “Chachin”, Ada and Miguel all of Puerto Rico; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and god-children.
Services will be held at Farrah Funeral, 133 Lawrence St., Lawrence, MA on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4pm – 8pm, with burial services on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10am at Grace Episcopal Church located at 35 Jackson St. Lawrence, MA.
