Edmund "Ike" Gabriel

Edmund P. "Ike" Gabriel, 63, of Methuen passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at his home. Ike was born in Lawrence, the son of the late Elias and Evelyn (Beshara) Gabriel.  Ike retired as the Local 3 Firemen and Oilers - Business Agent in Woburn, MA. Prior to becoming the Business Agent he worked for many years for the City of Lawrence-Public Works Department and served as the Union Steward.

Ike enjoyed spending time with his daughter Micaela Gabriel and was an avid golfer. 

Ike is survived by his daughter Micaela Gabriel, his sister Lisa Green, his Uncle Edmund Beshara and cousins David Beshara and his wife Bette. Other cousins include Neale Dunn and her husband Frank, Leslie Coughlin and her husband Garry, Michelle Beshara, David C. Beshara, Leslie A. Beshara, David A. Beshara, Charles Beshara and his wife Ellen, Sam Beshara, Christine Beshara and Edmund C. Beshara. He is also survived by his former wife, Patricia M. (Donovan) Gabriel. In addition Ike was the proud Godfather of Jacob E. Hays. Ike will be missed by several great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his cousin and friend Raymond Beshara.

His family recalls Ike's beautiful smile, warm and generous heart and his willingness to help any and all in need. 

A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury St; Lawrence, MA 01841. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Methuen.
