Josefina Altagracia Castillo Gonzalez

Josefina Altagracia Castillo Gonzalez, 61, of Lawrence passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, July 14, 2019. Josefina was born and educated Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, the daughter of the late Diogenes Castillo and his wife Aura Francisca Gonzalez. She lived for a time in Santo Domingo and was noted for her lovely and beautiful voice and loved to sing, especially at family gatherings. Josefina was also one who enjoyed karaoke and dancing. Her friends and family recall her special cooking skills and her famous Dominican plate of "Sancocho".

Josefina is survived by her sons, Christiam Castillo of Lawrence and daughters, Pamela Castillo and Carlota Castillo of Lawrence. In addition, she is survived by 4 grandchildren, sisters and brothers, several nieces and nephews, along with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends, who will miss her.

A funeral service will be held, Monday, July 22, 2019 at FARRAH FUNEFRAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence. Burial will be in St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
