Juliette A. Messina, 92, of Andover passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Prescott House Nursing Home in North Andover. Juliette was born in Lawrence, the daughter of the late Abbas Hatem and his wife Annie (Badour) Hatem. Juliette graduated from Lawrence High School. She began work at Tyer Rubber Company in Andover and after her marriage to her Santo Messina she was homemaker. Juliette was a volunteer at the Gift Shop at Lawrence General Hospital for more than 10 years. She was noted to be an excellent cook whose specialty was baked goods, particularly her cookies. Juliette was a life long parishioner of St. Anthony Maronite Church in Lawrence. The widow of Santo Messina and was predeceased by the son, David Messina. Juliette is survived by her sister Rose Roux of Andover, sister-in-law Josephine Hatem of North Andover, daughter-in-law Sharon Woodward and grandson Michael Messina both of Newburyport. Nephews Michael Hatem and his wife Mary Ann (Dayian) of Franklin, MA. Nieces, Loretta DeMarco and her husband Ken DeMarco of Hampstead, NH and Christine Duffy and her husband Kevin Duffy of Jupiter, FL.
A funeral mass will be offered Friday, November 15, 2019 at 12:00 noon at St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.
