Lewis Vargas

Lewis Vargas, 59, of Lawrence passed away at home unexpectedly. Lewis was born and educated in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of Altagracia Quindongo and the late Epifanio Vargas. He came to Lawrence when he was 22 years old. Lewis was licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts a hoisting operator and worked for more 12 years  as forklift operator for Crusader Paper of North Andover.  Lewis loved his sasla music and an accomplished conga drum player and a good singer. He loved his Red Sox. His family recalled that he was always happy and took long walks, where he met many people.

Lewis was devoted to his family, and his children who susrive him, including Yahaira Vargas, Dalia Enis Vargas of Lawrence and Elizabeth Vargas of Lawrence. In addition Lewis is survived by his mother, Altagracia Quindongo of Lawrence and his favorite and only grandson, Jadiel Lewis Vargas of Lawrence.  A brother Pedro Vargas and a sister, Hilda Cosme along with several nieces and nephews also survive him.

A funeral service will be held, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10:00 at FARRAH FUNERAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. Friends and family may pay respoects, Monday, May 27, 2019 at FARRAHFUNERAL HOME.

Lewis Vargas, 59, de Lawrence falleció inesperadamente en su casa. Lewis nació y se educó en Ponce, Puerto Rico, hijo de Altagracia Quindongo y el difunto Epifanio Vargas. Él vino a Lawrence cuando tenía 22 años de edad. Lewis fue licenciado por la Commonwealth de Massachusetts como operador de elevación y trabajó durante más de 12 años como operador de montacargas para Crusader Paper of North Andover.  Lewis amaba su música sasla y un consumado guitarrista de Conga y un buen cantante. Amaba a sus medias rojas. Su familia recordó que siempre fue feliz y dio largos paseos, donde conoció a muchas personas.
Lewis se dedicó a su familia, y a sus hijos que lo suspende, incluyendo a Yahaira Vargas, Dalia Enis Vargas de Lawrence y Elizabeth Vargas de Lawrence. Además Lewis es sobrevivido por su madre, Altagracia Quindongo de Lawrence y su favorito y único nieto, Jadiel Lewis Vargas de Lawrence.  Un hermano, Pedro Vargas y una hermana, Hilda Cosme, junto con varias sobrinos, también lo sobreviven.
Se celebrará un servicio funerario, el martes 28 de mayo, 2019 a 10:00 en FARRAH FUNERAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. Los amigos y familiares pueden pagar los respoects, lunes, 27 de mayo, 2019 en FARRAHFUNERAL HOME.
