Lillian Martha Mena

Lillian Martha Mena, 87, passed away in peace with her family at her bedside on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Cedar View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen. Lillian was born in Kodak, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Floyd Schubert and his wife Emma Cate. Lillian grew up and was educated in Knoxville, Tennessee and worked in building maintenance. She moved to Lawrence in 1970's and she continued her work in housekkeeping and was formerly employed at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lawrence.  Lillian was a good seamstress and was a voracious reader. She enjoyed traveling with her best friend of more than 40 years, Vivian Vasquez. Together they made many enjoyable trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, to the beach, flea markets and yard sales. 

She is survived by her children: Donald Schubert of TN; Michael Bible of Ohio; Darrell Bible of Salem, NH; Joyce Bible of Alaska; Carolyn Bible of TN; Frankie Bible of Derry, NH; Rafael Mena of Haverhill, MA and Ana Mena of Lawrence. She is survived by sisters: Carol Hill of TN and Sue Tillman of TN. Lillian was predeceased by son Keith Howard formerly of Alexandria, NH; siblings: Edna Cate, Bill Schubert, Leon Schubert and Wayne Schubert. In addition Lillian is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at FARRAH FUNERAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, MA. Friends may call Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
