Lydia Esther Morales

Lydia Esther Morales Cruz born to Herminia Cruz and Santo Morales in 1943 the 24th day of September  in Yabucoa P.R. was called  by her heavenly father on the 29th day of September 2019. She is survived by her six children. Juan,Joanna,Ivelise,Angelita,Juanita and Epifanio. As well as many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She grew up most of her early years in her beautiful Island of Puerto Rico. It is a place she considered home even when she moved to New York and later to Massachusetts where she lived for over 25 years.  She will return home to Puerto Rico where she will be laid to rest.

Lydia is remembered for her love, dedication and faithfulness to God. She lived and passed in Peace knowing that whatever she endured was God’s will. She was a dedicated member of St. Mary the Assumption Parish in Lawrence Ma. She was a RCIA instructor, Novena prayer leader, Eucharist minister, and President of the Legion of Mary.

Known as Abuela Lydia she will be remembered for her deep affection and devotion to her family. She instilled the love and importance of family. She supported all of them in all they ventured out to do.
She was an excellent cook and knew everyone’s favorite meal and had no issues in preparing several different meals at one time to please them.

When she had free time she would enjoy it by crocheting, doing a word puzzle, or watching a game show.

Everyone that knew her should know that her love for God surpassed anything else in her life. We shall cry and mourn but always understanding that God’s will for her to be at his side was chosen at his time

Lydia Esther Morales Cruz, nacida de Herminia Cruz y Santo Morales en 1943 el 24 de septiembre en Yabucoa P.R. fue llamada por su padre celestial el 29 de septiembre de 2019. Le sobreviven sus seis hijos. Juan, Joanna, Ivelise, Angelita, Juanita y Epifanio. Así como muchos nietos y bisnietos.

Ella creció la mayor parte de sus primeros años en su hermosa isla de Puerto Rico. Es un lugar que consideraba su hogar incluso cuando se mudó a Nueva York y más tarde a Massachusetts, donde vivió durante más de 25 años. Ella regresará a su hogar en Puerto Rico, donde será enterrada.

Lydia es recordada por su amor, dedicación y fidelidad a Dios. Ella vivió y pasó en paz sabiendo que todo lo que soportaba era la voluntad de Dios. Fue miembro dedicado de la parroquia de Santa María de la Asunción en Lawrence Ma. Fue instructora de RICA, líder de oración de Novena, ministra de Eucaristía y presidenta de la Legión de María.

Conocida como Abuela Lydia, será recordada por su profundo afecto y devoción por su familia. Ella inculcó el amor y la importancia de la familia. Ella los apoyó a todos en todo lo que se aventuraron a hacer.
Ella era una excelente cocinera y conocía la comida favorita de todos y no tuvo problemas para preparar varias comidas diferentes al mismo tiempo para complacerlas.

Cuando tenía tiempo libre, lo disfrutaba haciendo ganchillo, haciendo un rompecabezas de palabras o viendo un programa de juegos.

Todos los que la conocieron deben saber que su amor por Dios superó cualquier otra cosa en su vida. Lloraremos y lloraremos, pero siempre entendimos que la voluntad de Dios para que ella esté a su lado fue elegida en su momento
