Alda Hanna Obituary

Alda Chafic (Tannous) Hanna passed away on January 9th, 2021 at Lawrence General Hospital.

She was born in Karkha, Lebanon, daughter of Chafic Tannous and Mounira Saba Tannous. Alda was educated in Sidon, Lebanon.  Along with her husband Ezzat Bechara Hanna they raised four children in Beirut before Alda and her children emigrated to Manchester, NH in 1978.

Alda was loved by everyone. She was always smiling, touching the lives and spreading joy to anyone she ever met. She was a beautiful, classy, intelligent, and strong lady who valued family above all. She raised her four children to the utmost impeccable manner. Over the years, she became a supervisor at Raytheon Technologies where she excelled in her career. Anyone who ever knew her, knew how special this amazing lady was and how much love and positivity she contributed to our world. 

Alda is survived by her children,  son John Hanna and his wife Colette, and their son Anthony of North Andover, MA;  
Son, Ghassan Hanna and his wife Grace and their sons, Jonathan and Michael of Salem, NH; 
Daughter Rita Abirached and her husband Philip, and their children Joseph, Andrew, Tia, and Rana of Windham, NH; and 
Daughter Christianne Mouzannar and her husband Dori, and their children Sama and Sari of Achrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon.

In addition, Alda is survived by her beloved sister Helen Aziz and brother-in-law Sleiman Aziz and her brother-in-law the Honorary Council of Lebanon, Mr.  Ibraham Hanna and wife Layla of Salem, NH.

Mrs. Hanna will lie in state on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Church, 241 Hampshire Street, Lawrence, MA 01841 where the family will receive friends. 

Entombment will be Friday, January 15, 2021 at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence, MA.

 

Memorial contributions in Alda's memory may be made to St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Church, 241 Hampshire Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.
