Anthony "Ant" Batista, Jr., III

Anthony Batista, Jr. III,  died Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his home. Anthony was born in the Bronx, NY and graduated from Elmwood Park, High School in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. He moved to Lawrence with his family in 2016. Anthony worked along side his father Amable at Amable's Super Market on Jackson Street in Lawrence, MA . He enjoyed video games online with his cousins where they  raced cars.   Anthony wrote music, enjoyed rapping and published a Youtube video. He later joined his father at Best Price Auto Sales in Methuen. His family recalls him as a happy person and who wanted his own business and be to be successful. Anthony was a loving, overprotective son and brother to his mom, dad and to his two sisters. Anthony was known by a few nick names, his mom called him "My little Guy" his sister called him "Ant Bro" and his friends called him "Batista".

He is survived by his parents, Antonio "Amable" Batista of Lawrence and Sonia Cortez of New Jersey. Sisters Carolyn Batista of New Jersey and  Johamelys Batista of Lawrence. His paternal grandmother, Maria Placido of San Francisco de Marcoris, Republica Dominicana. In addition, Anthony is survived by 15 aunts and uncles and their families on his father's side and 5 aunts and uncles on his mother's side. He was blessed by many, many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Antonio Batista and maternal grandparents, Ausberto Cortez and his wife Victoria Gonzalez. 

A funeral mass will be offered, Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Belleveue Cemetery, Lawrence.
