On Tuesday December 15, 2020 Heaven gained another angel. Our Beloved Beatriz (“Betty”) Otero 46, passed after battling an underlying heart condition at Lowell General Hospital. Betty was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, She leaves behind her dear mother Blanca Lily Otero (Galeano) and predeceased father, Julio Otero in which she held very close to her heart. Also, She will be lovingly remembered by her two amazing sons, Elias Colon-Otero and Partner Stephanie Rodriguez, Son, Julian Otero-Whitney, her two precious Grandchildren, Lucius and Ezekiel. Siblings: Sister; Blanca Lily Serrano and Brother- in-law Rey F. Serrano, sister Nidia Otero and Brother- in-law Pablo Ramirez. Brother Julio Otero Jr. and Sister- in-law Leidy Otero. Niece and Nephew’s Leilany E. Serrano, Rey Julio Serrano Jr, Jaden Otero, and Devin Otero.
Betty resided in Lowell, Massachusetts where she attended school at St. Joseph’s Elementary School and Graduated from Lowell High School. Betty dedicated and contributed her life working as a CNA primarily with Alzheimer & Mental Health Patients in which she found fulfillment and brought her joy. Betty was a devoted mother and loved to spend time with her sons, grandchildren, family, as well as close friends, Mayra Alejandra Cintron, Suly Caicedo, Miriam Colon, Nancy Robles, Samantha Whitney, and Carla Bettencourt.
Betty’s family would like to give a special thank you to Merrimack Valley Cardiology, Lowell General PCU staff, and Lowell General ICU Ground floor staff.
Due to Covid-19 the arrangements are as followed: No wake will be held due to the concern and safety of everyone, But a Celebration of Life, Catholic Mass will be held on Betty’s Birthday, Saturday January 2nd, 2021 with details of time & place to follow.
