Carolina Morris Obituary

"Carolina "Canina" Morris was a caring, loving, wife, mother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully at the age of 46 on November 27th 2021 due to health complications in Holy Family.
Born to James R. Morris and Alina Morris on July 19th in 1975. Raised in Louisiana, she moved around a lot and made her way up to Lawrence/Methuen over 26 years ago, it was still her favorite place on Earth. She felt complete when she had the opportunity to take vacations with her family to show them where she grew up and relive some of her favorite memories with her dad, who she called Papa or Bud.
Carolina leaves behind her loving husband Gerson Colindres who stayed right by her side until the very end, as well as her three children, Michael (28), Genesis (26) and Kevin (11) and her best friend of 18 years, Valerie Giarusso. She is also survived by her niece Rebecca, her nephew Jay, her sister Denise, and her brother Roni. There are many more loved ones left behind, who will always hold on to the memories they shared with her.
If you ever had a conversation with our beloved Canina, you would know she has a passion for cooking. It was her way of staying connected to her Bud who she lost at the young age of 12. They shared this passion and she passed this along to her children. Michael has taken over her father's cookbook baking breads and dessert, Genesis enjoys cooking dinner for the family, and Kevin has learned to make a few different meals himself. It will forever be our connection.
Her proudest accomplishment is that even without a college education she was able to make a name for herself in a big corporation. She was a very hard worker and she devoted a lot of time to her place of work. She was the Production Manager at Methuen CPL and proudly ran the cleanest and most efficient Dunkin Donuts factory in the district. Her facility was used as a model kitchen, and she deserved every bit of the pride that brought her. Her team loved her and most of them became a part of our family as well. Her next career adventure lead her to Restaurant Depot where she was able to do her favorite thing, drive from place to place and talk business! She made many friendships this way and she loved being able to help restaurant/business owners find new ways to cut costs. At the end of the day, her true passion was helping people. She never said "no", in fact the joke at home was that she didn't know HOW to say no. She passed that along to her children as well, it's a beautiful quality to have.
She passed along many good qualities to her family, like having a strong work ethic, having an entrepreneur mindset. To never judge a book by its cover and to always put yourself in someone else's shoes. Canina had a huge heart, and we will always remember this about her. She wanted nothing more than to make sure everyone on her team was successful.
