Claire Ann Nasser, 85, a resident of Salem, NH, passed away on January 1, 2021 at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Lawrence, Claire was the daughter of the late Charles and
Josephine Maroun. She was educated in the Lawrence Schools and then went on to receive her Certificate in Social Services from Northern Essex Community College. She worked for many years in the family business, Maroun Brothers Wholesale Warehouse.
Claire was a deeply religious and spiritual individual and an active parishioner of St. Anthony’s Maronite Church in Lawrence. Having been born again, her faith gave her a positive outlook on life and sustained her through the many challenges that life presented. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed learning about spiritual matters. She cared deeply for her family and particularly loved sharing in the many activities and accomplishments of her grandchildren.
Claire was pre-deceased by her husband, George J. Nasser Jr. and her son, George J. Nasser, III.
She is survived by family members including her sons Charles Nasser and his wife, Maureen of Methuen, and David Nasser of Atlanta, GA and her grandchildren, Kevin LaCroix,Trey, Ravenne, and Joshua Nasser. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Nasser of Methuen, Rita Mello and her husband, Ray of North Hampton, NH and Helen Maroun, along with several nieces and nephews.
