Constantina V. Hernandez
May 24, 1952 - February 25, 2024

Constantina Hernandez, 71, joined her late husband (Jesus M. Hernandez), and daughter (Yasmin G. Hernandez), in heaven in the early hours of February 25, 2024.  She passed away at Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Constantina was born on May 24, 1952 in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic to Leon Vasquez (deceased) and Catalina Paulino (deceased) and was a proud resident of the City of Lawrence since migrating here with her family in 1987. 

She was so many things to so many people; always going above and beyond for every single person she met.  She would give you the shirt off of her back without hesitation.  That was the kind of person she was. 

Constantina was an amazing person, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend, etc.  She was wise, caring, nurturing, strong, independent, everything that one can only hope to become.  Her optimism was something to admire- always carrying a smile on her face despite having lived through so many unfortunate circumstances.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Eva Veras and son, J. David Hernandez and his wife Odanis M. Hernandez of Lawrence.  Grandchildren, Karina DeRosa, Karolina Hernandez and Kyannah Hernandez of Lawrence.  Sisters, Rosanna, Argelia, Floralba of Lawrence and Luján of Methuen and brother, Jose Rafael of Canada. Many nieces and nephews. 

Family, friends, and others are invited to Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence MA 01841, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 and/or Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10:00am - 11:30am followed by interment at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence to reminisce and honor the life of our beloved Constantina.
