Jose "Joey" Colon

Jose (Joey) Colon 51 years young passed away on 7-6-2018 in Londonderry, NH. He was born on 9-20-1966 to Nydia Ayala in the Bronx, NY. Besides his mother, he leaves behind two brothers, Freddie Colon and Raul Ayala who loved him very much. He was also blessed with a stepfather Gerard (Gerry) Montmarquette who he loved, and who loved him very much.

Joey was a shining star in high school basketball, baseball and football. Beyond high school Joey overcame monumental life obstacles, but his strength and determination brought him through healing to then meet the love of his life Wanda Rivera. That wonderful love gave them three beautiful daughters: Tiffany, Stephanie and Ashanti Colon. After Wanda and his children, he did not think he could love so much until being blessed with three beautiful grandchildren: Ivelisse, Jayziah (JJ), and Jaydalin. God showed him his heart had endless possibilities to love; that is absolutely what he did best, was love.

Sadly God was ready for him to go home, even though we were not ready for him to leave. We will love him and keep his memory alive of the son, brother, father, husband, grandfather and friend. Joey, we will miss you, be at peace, with no more pain. You are now with our heavenly father.

Friends may call Thursday, July 12, 2018 fro 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at FARRAH FUNERAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at FARRAH FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence.
