Jose Antonio Cruz

Jose Antonio Cruz-Flores, 65, of Plymouth, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA. Jose was a resident of Arroyo, Puerto Rico. He grew up in Lawrence and is son of Rosa Flores of Lawrence and the late Antonio Cruz. 

Jose was known as a hard worker; he retired from the maintenance department at the Marriott Hotel in Andover for more than 30 years. He was also known for his hilarious sense of humor. Jose enjoyed playing dominos, spending time with his family, and listening to Salsa while playing along with the guiro instrument. 

Although he was born in Puerto Rico, he lived the rest of his life in Lawrence, MA, where he leaves behind his beloved mother, Rosa Flores, His three children: Antonio Cruz of Lawrence, Aileen Cruz of Utica, NY, and Rosa Cruz of Boston. In addition, he is survived by his stepchildren, Jessenia, Waleska, Junior, Maria and Brenda.

He is also survived by brothers: Juan, Adrian, Alfredo, Roberto and Javi. Sisters: Rosa, Illeana and Carmen.

Jose was also blessed by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jose a beloved father, stepfather, brother, son, grandfather, great grandfather and spouse.

He is now resting in peace and with the love of his life, Otilia Rosario, who was his partner for many years.

"Though Jose may no longer walk among us,

his spirit lives on in the countless memories we shared

and the laughter that echoes in our hearts.
