Josè Victor Rodriguez, age 69, received his angel wings on Friday April 16, 2021
Josè “Vitin” was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Nicanor Rodriguez and Eleuteria Rosario. He
was raised in Londonderry, NH from the age of 3. Some of Jose’s most beautiful and fond
memories took place at the Woodmont Orchards, which he considered his happy place.
In 1978, Jose moved to Methuen/Lawrence where he worked at Malden Mills and later began to
work at Lucent Technologies. Focused on his family, Vitin decided to retire and open up his own
bar/restaurant where he would now have the opportunity to spend a lot more time with those he
loved most. After several years of running the restaurant Jose’s impressive career finally came
to an end.
Anyone who knew Vitin knew he was always up for an adventure and or business proposition,
but nothing and I mean nothing was more important to Baby than his family. Some of his most
cherished moments were his famous family pig roast, fishing, laughing and entertaining
everyone. He loved to see others smile. He was a pillar in the community and would always
support local businesses, sports teams, and events.
Vitin didn’t believe in meeting strangers, instead he understood the value of showing love to all
those around him, treating everyone like family or a close friend. This gave him his nickname
“Baby”.
Loved by everyone he met, Baby was the glue to the family.
Blessed with great charm and a smile full of life, he would draw you in almost instantly, he had a
heart of gold along with a fictional list of girlfriends ranging from flight attendants, receptionists,
cashiers, waitresses, or any pretty lady that spoke to him for that matter.
A great man, a wonderful friend, the sweetest dad and grandfather, Baby was always so
generous and would spoil all those he loved. He was a shining light who would brighten the
darkest of days and light up any room with his presence.
Jose, Vitin, Baby, Dad, Grandpa, Abuelo Baby, El Gallo, as he was proudly called, left us all
with the most precious memories, stories, and moments that will last a lifetime. Until we meet
again you will always be loved, missed, and forever cherished.
