Julia Aponte peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. Julia was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico on , December 10, 1936. Julia was the daughter of Felipa Santos and Ramon Gonzalez. Julia came to Lawrence, MA around the early 70s. Julia was loved by many family and friends. Julia loved to sew, and make dresses for dolls and for her princess. Julia was a happy and friendly person who would always help others. When her late husband passed away, Julia took the role of being both mom and dad to her children. Julia is the mother of Maria Rivera, veteran Johnny Aponte, Yolanda Aponte, and Carmen Aponte. Julia has six grandchildren, and 9 great grand children.
Julia is predeceased by her husband Isabelino Aponte.
Julia is survived by her 4 children Maria Rivera and her husband Ismael Rivera, veteran Johnny Aponte, Yolanda Aponte, and Carmen Aponte, her 6 grandchildren, her 9 great grandchildren, her siblings Antonio Gonzalez and his wife Ana Hilda Gonzalez, Domingo Gonzalez and his wife Ramona Gonzalez, and several nephews and a niece.
