Julia J Rivera Santiago

Julia Rivera Santiago 62, entered eternal rest on 5/08/2020 after her courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Salinas, Puerto Rico, she moved to Lawrence in 1978 pregnant and with a 1 year in search of a better life. After giving birth to her 3rd child she ended her abusive marriage and became a Certified Nurses Assistant at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative were she worked for over 33 years until becoming ill. All her residents loved her, including their families, her coworkers and employees. Julia was known for her “BIG BRIGHT SMILE”, her trademark. She was also know for her caregiving and loving “HEART”. Everyone who met Julia became family. For she loved everyone the same. She always greeted you with a big hug, big kiss, her trademark “SMILE”, or even a plate of food. She was a wonderful mother to her 3 daughters, witch she raised alone, their children, her great grandsons, and anyone else who entered her home. Their was nothing but love and happiness in Julia all the time. She will always be with us. 

Julia leaves behind 3 daughters; Iris Rivera 43, Luz Diaz 41, Giselle Santos 39; 8 grandchildren; Deandra 22, Ezmeralda 21, Monica 19, Bianca 19, Andrea 17, Enrique 13, Idryana 11, Dionel 5; 2 great grandsons; Dahrius 5, Dezmir 2; 3 brothers, 1 sister, nieces, nephews, and all her friends.

Family has agreed to make services open to the public for the first 3 hours, as long as mourners follow COVID 19 regulations by wearing mask and gloves. Also limiting their visit in order to give all her friends the chance to say their fairwells. Last hour will be private for the family. 

Services will be held on 5/13/2020 from 1pm-4pm at Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence St., Lawrence, MA. 01841. 978-682-4060.
