Karolin Esther Santos

Sometimes a person touches your heart and changes your life.  If you knew Karolin Santos, you would have experienced just that.  It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Karolin Esther Santos announces her sudden passing on Saturday, December 5, 2020, in her home at the age of 36.  Karolin will be lovingly remembered by her son, Giovanni (Gio) Japa. She also leaves behind her father, Francisco Santos Nunez, her mother, Mercedes Pita, brother, Milton Duran, and sister, Maria Aviles (Santos).  Karolin will forever be remembered by her niece, numerous nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Karolin was educated in the Lawrence Public Schools and went on to graduate from Central Catholic High School in 2003.  She furthered her education at Suffix University, and more recently at Regis College. Karolin was a certified Medical Assistant and massage therapist.   

Karolin was a devoted mother and loved to spend time with her son as well as close friends and family creating memories.  Karolin had a tremendously big heart and she welcomed everyone with her great smile and bodacious personality.  Karolin enjoyed dancing, was the life of any party and lit up a room with her vibrant style.  She saw the best in people and her confidence inspired and uplifted anyone she encountered.  Karolin was an active member in her community; she was an alumna of the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence, volunteered at the Lawrence YMCA and New Beginnings Peer Recovery group.  She loved trying new workout routines, but she always favored Wander’s Cardio Kick A$$ over all others.  When she wasn’t volunteering or working out, she occasionally fed homeless individuals around the city.  Her innate nature to help others was undeniable.

These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. A Celebration of Karolin’s life will be arranged under the direction of FARRAH FUNERAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.

PLASE NOTE THAT VISITATION WILL BE ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2020 STARTING AT 9:30 A.M. A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL FOLLOW AT NOON. 

BURIAL WILL BE IN BELLEVUE CEMETERY, LAWRENCE, MA

Si conociste a Karolin Santos, hubieras presenciado esto exactamente.  Es con gran tristeza y corazones quebrados que la familia de Karolin Esther Santos anuncia su repentino fallecimiento el sábado 5 de diciembre de 2020 en su casa a la edad de 36 años. Karolin será tiernamente recordada por su hijo, Giovanni (Gio) Japa. Ella también deja atrás a su padre, Francisco Santos Núñez, su madre, Mercedes Pita, a su hermano, Milton Durán, y a su hermana, María Avilés (Santos).  Karolin será por siempre recordada por su sobrina, numerosos sobrinos, familiares y amigos queridos.

Karolin era una madre dedicada y le encantaba pasar tiempo con su hijo, así como con amigos cercanos y familiares creando recuerdos. Karolin tenía un corazón tremendamente grande y le daba la bienvenida a todos con su gran sonrisa y personalidad audaz. Karolin disfrutaba bailando, era el alma de cualquier fiesta e iluminaba cualquier lugar con su estilo vibrante. Veía lo mejor en las personas y su confianza inspiraba y animaba a cualquiera que encontraba. Karolin era una miembro activa de su comunidad; fue ex alumna del Boys and Girls Club de Lawrence, se ofreció como voluntaria en la YMCA de Lawrence y en el grupo New Beginnings Peer Recovery. Le encantaba probar nuevas rutinas de ejercicios, pero siempre prefería Wander's Cardio Kick A$$ sobre todas las demás.
