Linda Lee Hargreaves

Linda Lee Hargreaves, 72, of Methuen passed away Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, after a long brave battle with an illness.

Linda was the daughter of the late Norman Bumford and Marion (Slater) Bumford. She was born and raised in Lawrence, spending most of her life living on Front Street. 

She attended the Weatherbee School and graduated from Lawrence High School.

Linda worked for more than 25 years at the Internal Revenue Service until her retirement.

When she was in her early 20’sLinda and her sisters enjoyed taking trips to Connecticut. She loved taking her daughter and grandson on annual trips to Salem, MA. She also enjoyed trips to the White Mountains and breakfast with her sisters and nieces every Sunday morning.

Linda leaves behind her beloved daughter, Buffy Hargreaves of Methuen, her grandson Tyler Vivier of Methuen and Buffy's best friend, Amy (Sedgwick) Hendrick of Lawrence. She is also survived by sisters, Carol Rapaglia of Fitchburg, Norma Silva and her husband of Methuen, brother, Donald Bumford of New Market, NH. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, Peggy Rapaglia of Fitchburg, Jeffery Rapaglia of Charlotte NC, Holly Rapaglia of Fitchburg, Tina Rapaglia of Fitchburg, and Cheryl Silva of Methuen, Jacob, and Matthew Bumford of New Market, NH. As well as many great nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Cindy Bumford.
