Louise Vallante Obituary

Louise Vallante, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away with her family by her side on October 19, 2023, at the age of 101. She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on August 24, 1922, and was a devoted Catholic.

Throughout her life, Louise touched the hearts of many with her unwavering love and caring nature. She was a dedicated mother, deeply cherished by her daughter Marie Jerome and husband Philip of Methuen, her son Anthony of Danvers, and "her twins," daughter Annette, wife of John Giardi of Salem, and son Michael of Worcester. Louise is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, all of whom meant the world to her.

Louise was a woman of diverse talents and a strong work ethic. She was employed by Joe Gal Shoe Manufacturing, Silver Sweets Candy Shop, and later in life, by the Lawrence Public School System. Her affection for children led her to work as a Teacher's Aide at Lawrence High School, where she provided invaluable support to children with learning challenges.

Louise was known for her strong faith in God and her daily recitation of the rosary with Mother Angelica's television ministry.  She was a lifelong member of the Saint Rita’s Sodality.

She found enjoyment in playing machines at regional casinos and engaging in lively games of Bingo at the Sutton Hill Nursing Home, where she resided and received exceptional care for the past 11 years.

Throughout her life, Louise's culinary skills and passion for cooking shone brightly. She credited her Home Economics courses during her youth and the guidance of her mother, Antonetta, as the inspiration behind her talents in the kitchen. Louise took immense pleasure in preparing individualized dishes for her family, creating countless cherished memories through her family recipes.

Louise was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Guido Vallante, as well as her parents Andrea and Antonetta Vallario, her brother Albert Vallario, and her sisters Rose D'Orto, Elenora Vallante, and Viola Coakley.

Louise's legacy of love, faith, and compassion will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. Her family, friends, and all who knew her will continue to be inspired by her kindness.

A memorial service to celebrate Louise's life will be held on October 24th at The Holy Rosary Church.  A short wake will be held at the church at 9:30 am, prior to the funeral mass at 10:00 am and burial.

May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who were fortunate to be a part of her remarkable life.
