Maria Velazquez Lai

Maria Velazquez Lai, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2021.

She was born on July 5, 1946 in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico and resided in Lawrence, MA. 

Maria dedicated her life in being a woman of faith as a member of the Assembly of God Church in Lawrence, MA. 

Maria was very family oriented, as she enjoyed spending quality time with each and every one of her children and grandchildren. She occupied her time doing things she liked like sewing, knitting, cooking, word search puzzles, and traveling. 

She is survived by her 7 daughters; Noemi, Ruthy, Ivette, Lisa, Dorcas, Priscilla, Merylinda, and her only son; Junior. 

All who have blessed her with 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 

Calling hours are set for Friday, October 8, 2021 from 4-8PM.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 9:30am at the Assembly of God Church on 14 Vine Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.

Burial will be followed by funeral services at 11AM at Bellevue Cemetery.
