Mariah Fernandez

Mariah "Mya" Liz Fernandez, 29, passed away on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 unexpectedly from hereditary illness.
Mariah was born in Lawrence, the daughter of Maria Hernandez, Jose Fernandez with wife Yvonne Fernandez. She resided in Methuen with her life partner Eric Gonzalez. Mariah was a teacher at Community Day Early Learning Center at Ballard Way in Lawrence where she dedicated the last 9 years to enriching all of her students lives with knowledge and an abundance of love. Mariah enjoyed spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews, with whom she loved unconditionally. Her special joys were coffee, reading, and drawing. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Mariah will remember her kindness, generosity, creativity, free spirited nature and bravery in always being her authentic self.

Mariah is survived by her siblings, Tiana Fernandez, Sabrina Fernandez, Jose Fernandez, and Nayana Vazquez; nieces and nephew, Jaelysa Alvarado, Esaiahs Cruz, and Nianalys Cruz.
Mariah will be missed by parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and several cousins.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence St; Lawrence, MA 01841. Calling hours are Wednesday, June 1st from 4pm-8pm. A Mass will be offered on Thursday, June 2nd at 10 a.m. at St Mary of the Assumption Parish, 300 Haverhill St., Lawrence, MA, followed by burial at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
