Nicasio Arias

Nicasio Arias, 89 of Lawrence, died Thursday, April 22, 2020 at Lawrence General Hospital with his family at his bedside. He was born and educated in Santiago, Dominican Republic the son of the late Andres Antonio Arias and his wife Dominga Antonia. Nicasio spent many years in the agriculture business while living in the Dominican Republic. He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Lawrence and was an active member of the Mary Immaculate Residential Community. He enjoyed to dance and rode his bicycle all over Lawrence and Methuen. His loved his children and grandchildren.

The widow of Antonia Mercedes Lantigua, he is survived by children:  Josefina and her husband Rafael Arias of Lawrence; Auroa Arias and her husband Domingo Arias of Lawrence; Lourdes Arias and her husband Jorge Lantigua of Lawrence; Domingo Lantigua of Lawrence; Julia Lantigua and her husband Mario Lantigua of Methuen; Candida Arias of Pelham; Mario Arias and his wife Carmen Arias of Lawrence; Jose Ramon Arias of Lawrence; Alvania Arias of Salisbury, MA and Venisio Arias. Many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his Nicasio Arias.  In addition, Nicasio is survived by several brothers and sisters who reside in the Dominican Republic.

A funeral mass will be offered Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Lawrence. Burial will be in St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
