Pepe Castellanos, 74, of Methuen, passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Christmas Day with his family at his bedside. Pepe was born and educated in Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic. He was the son of the late Godofredo Castellanos and his wife Juana Peralta. He moved to Puerto Rico in 1979 and learned the welding trade. There Pepe worked on large freighters and other ocean vessels. Pepe moved to Lawrence in the mid 1990's and began work at Sterilite Plastics in Leominster. Pepe enjoyed listening to music, social media and Red Sox baseball.
He was survived by his former wife Elana Cambell of Methuen. His children, Elizabeth Castellanos and her husband Roberto Baez of Methuen; Jacob Castellanos and his wife Judith Diaz of New Jersey; Issac Castellanos of Lawrence; Juan Bautista Castellanos of Lawrence and Noemi Hernandez and her spouse Eliaset Hernandez of Methuen. Grand daughter, Rachelly Ramos of Methuen. In addition he is survived by 12 other grand children and many great grand children.
Pepe is also survived by siblings: Juan Castellanos of Florida, Pare Castellanos, Jesus Ramon Castellanos and Gilberto Castellanos all of Santo Domingo.
