Antrim, NH - Rev. Rafael Fuentes Jr., 68, passed to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his humble home in Antrim NH at 6:35 a.m. Rafael was born on June 17, 1953 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, son of Rafael Fuentes, Sr. and the late Obdulia Centeno.

He is loved and survived by his wife of 33 years, Pelagia Fuentes; a son, Alberto Baez and his wife Yalisa; five daughters Miriam Montano Negron, Mary Negron, Dellanira Vargas and her partner Kenny Vega, Diana (Baez) Artiles and her husband Willie Artiles and Dayanet Baez; fifteen grandchildren Leishla Marie (Acevedo) Wunsch, Andrea Mercedes Miranda, Addriana Marie Toledo, Jerinnette Ramos, Francisco Rodriguez, Khloe Nashey Vega, Katelyn Vega, Lenore Wunsch, Jacob Artiles, Rebecca Abigail Artiles, Jaidin Alex Fuentes, Jiany Chanel Fuentes, Aaron Isaiah Baez, Shiloh Abby Baez and Elizabeth Grace Baez; a sister Iris Fuentes and her children Alessandro Cabrera, Iris Cortez and Zulma Abril-Cabrera.

He enjoyed serving people in anyway that he could. For a span of 30 years under the Assemblea Iglesias Penticostal de Jesus Christo, Inc. he served as Deacon, treasurer, District Secretary, President of Missions, Regional Mens President of Los Heraldos de Christo, AIPJ covering New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, assistant Co-Pastor, NYS Chaplin, State Representative of New England, Church Youth Counselor, Vice President of Abby Foundation in Massachusetts, traveled as missionary along side his pastor the late Rev. Marcos Santiago to the Repulica Dominicana, Guatemala, California and Mexico, served as church support staff, driver and handyman. His las position was Pastor of El Shaddai AIPJ located at 97 Lucust Street, Haverhill, MA.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

In his personal life he enjoyed hosting barbecues and feeding his Family and friends. He loved looking after and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, building and remodeling his home and those of his friends and family. He also enjoyed feeding his farm animals. If he didn't know how to do something, he loved to prove to anyone including himself that he could, till he did. He loved driving and taking time off with his beautiful wife and loved laughing and making jokes to also making others laugh.

Rafael’s funeral will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 between 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery 41 John Ward Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830.

Antrim, NH - El reverendo Rafael Fuentes Jr., de 68 años, pasó a estar con su Señor y Salvador Jesucristo el miércoles 15 de diciembre de 2021 en su humilde hogar en Antrim NH a las 6:35 am Rafael nació el 17 de junio de 1953 en Arecibo, Puerto Rico, hijo de Rafael Fuentes, Sr. y la difunta Obdulia Centeno.

Es amado y le sobreviven su esposa durante 33 años, Pelagia Fuentes; un hijo, Alberto Báez y su esposa Yalisa; cinco hijas Miriam Montano Negron, Mary Negron, Dellanira Vargas y su pareja Kenny Vega, Diana (Baez) Artiles y su esposo Willie Artiles y Dayanet Baez; quince nietos Leishla Marie (Acevedo) Wunsch, Andrea Mercedes Miranda, Addriana Marie Toledo, Jerinnette Ramos, Francisco Rodriguez, Khloe Nashey Vega, Katelyn Vega, Lenore Wunsch, Jacob Artiles, Rebecca Abigail Artiles, Jaidin Alex Fuentes, Jiany Chanel Fuentes, Aaron Isaiah Baez, Shiloh Abby Baez y Elizabeth Grace Baez; una hermana Iris Fuentes y sus hijos Alessandro Cabrera, Iris Cortez y Zulma Abril-Cabrera.

Disfrutaba sirviendo a la gente de todas las formas posibles. Durante un lapso de 30 años bajo la Assemblea Iglesias Penticostal de Jesus Christo, Inc. se desempeñó como diácono, tesorero, secretario de distrito, presidente de misiones, presidente regional masculino de Los Heraldos de Christo, AIPJ cubriendo Nueva York, Connecticut y Pensilvania, asistente Co-Pastor, NYS Chaplin, Representante Estatal de Nueva Inglaterra, Consejero Juvenil de la Iglesia, Vicepresidente de la Fundación Abby en Massachusetts, viajó como misionero junto a su pastor el fallecido Rev. Marcos Santiago a Repulica Dominicana, Guatemala, California y México, sirvió como personal de apoyo de la iglesia, conductor y personal de mantenimiento. Su último puesto fue Pastor de El Shaddai AIPJ ubicado en 97 Lucust Street, Haverhill, MA.

En su vida personal disfrutaba organizando barbacoas y alimentando a su familia y amigos. Le encantaba cuidar y pasar tiempo con sus nietos. Disfrutaba de la carpintería, la construcción y remodelación de su casa y la de sus amigos y familiares. También disfrutaba alimentando a sus animales de granja. Si no sabía cómo hacer algo, le encantaba demostrarle a cualquiera, incluido él mismo, que podía, hasta que lo hacía. Le encantaba conducir y tomarse un tiempo libre con su hermosa esposa y le encantaba reír y hacer bromas para hacer reír a los demás.

El funeral de Rafael se llevará a cabo el lunes 20 de diciembre de 2021 entre las 4:00 y las 8:00 pm en Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. El entierro será en Linwood Cemetery 41 John Ward Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830 .
