Richard E. Moynihan

Richard ("Ricky") E. Moynihan, 71, of Newburyport, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024, at Ana Jacques Hospital in Newburyport. Richard was born in Lawrence, the son of the late Mary (Famulro) Moynihan and her husband Joseph Moynihan. He was educated in the Lawrence School system.

Ricky enjoyed watching the NFL and rooted for the Patriots on television. He could be seen traversing downtown Newburyport window shopping and meeting friends.

Ricky is survived by his brothers, David J. Moynihan and his wife Arlene (Ireson) Moynihan of Hampton, NH and Christopher Moynihan of Berlin, NH. In addition, he is survived by a nephew, Lawrence Police Detective, David. J. Moynihan, Jr and his wife, Michelle of Dracut and niece Leanna wife of Brian Morin and their Emma Rose of Milton, NH.

Ricky is also survived by many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 10:00 am at FARRAH FUNERAL HOME, 133 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841. He will be buried beside his mother at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.

Friends may call Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
