Salome Garcia De Lantigua, better known as Lola, was born in Salcedo, Dominican Republic on June 9, 1931. She married Domingo Lantigua, whom which she had 10 kids with, 6 girls (Miledis, Argentina, Mercy, Denise, Yris, and Kemnia) and 4 boys (Ramon, Eladio, Rafael, and Orlando). In 1992, she came to Lawrence, Massachusetts to visit two of her kids who lived here at the time, then she became a resident, after that she brought the rest of her kids to live here. When she brought all of her kids here, she went back to DR to live with her husband who didn’t like the U.S. and then she began visiting us from time to time. After her husband passed on January 9, 2021, her children brought her to live here because she started suffering from Alzheimer’s and they wanted to have her close.
On Wednesday December 1st, she was brought, by ambulance, to Lawrence General Hospital because she suffered a stroke. The day after, she fell into a coma and remained the same for a week. Then on Wednesday December 8, she passed leaving her family terrible pain.
She will be remembered for ever as she was the best mom in the world, kind, comprehensive and lovely,
