Simon Elzenni Obituary

Simon Elias  Elzenni was born on June 19th, 1957, in Beirut Lebanon, the son of the late  Afiffi Dimasi and Elias H. Elzenni. Simon was raised in Lebanon until the age of 18 and then moved to the United States settling in Michigan with his cousin Juliette and her husband Salem Dakkak. He was awarded a degree from the Lawrence Institute of Technology in Michigan. Simon was a devout and faithful Christian, whose patron saint was Saint Charbel Makhlouf the patron saint of the Maronite Church. Simon was a parishioner of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church in Lawrence, MA.

Simon was the only son of his deceased parents and is survived by his children Boutros-Elias Simon Elzenni of Holly Springs, NC, daughter Gabrielle Simone Buhrmeister and her husband Andrew Buhrmeister of Holly Springs, NC, sons Donald J. St. Marie of Illinois, Douglas J. St. Marie of California and daughter, Danielle Del Buono and husband Michael Del Buono of Cape Cod, and Derek St. Marie and his wife Catherine St. Marie and their children Derek and Sophia St. Marie of Holly Springs, NC.

In addition, Simon leaves behind his former wife of 26 years Donna Pliler and her now husband Scott Pliler of Illinois. 

Simon raised his family in Cape Cod Massachusetts and Holly Springs, NC.

He was a dedicated and hard-working business manager throughout Massachusetts and North Carolina.

Simon will be missed by many relatives and close friends that he considered family.

When Simon was not working, he enjoyed being with his family and spending time with his numerous lifelong friends. Simon loved animals, watching sports, dining out, traveling and going to the beach.

His life enjoyment was being a father, husband, grandfather and loyal friend. Simon also traveled wherever his family wanted to visit.

Friends and family are invited to a Funeral Liturgy, it will be offered, Monday, April 8, 2024, at 12:00 pm (Noon) at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.
